Fishface cycles chooses BFI for ecommerce launch
Fishface Cycles are an independent bike dealership located in Staffordshire, and are official stockists of Scott, Bianchi, Yeti, Commencal and Forme bikes. Fishface Cycles had operated an ecommerce website for the store, but it was not mobile responsive – as such, in need of modernisation. We were tasked to build a new website, adhering to modern standards in terms of both design and functionality, for a fresh ecommerce launch.
DISCOVERY
This period gave our team the opportunity to discuss the client’s requirements more comprehensively. Together, we went through the existing site, deciding on which editorial content was useful. We also discussed competitor activity and defined key performance indicators for the project.
USER EXPERIENCE
By communicating often with the client, we gained valuable and diverse consumer knowledge. This helped to develop a robust website structure, and a clean, usable site perfectly designed according to the collaborative brief.
VISUAL DESIGN
Our design team began work on the proofs which demonstrated key website processes and functionality. This stage used to gain feedback, as it visualised the specification in a clear and understandable way.
DEVELOPMENT
Once complete and signed off by Fishface, our technical team began in earnest in the development process. This provided Fishface with the opportunity to prepare imagery, write content, and prepare data. This ensured a streamlined, workflow and an efficient turnaround to market. Fishface were not using the Ascend EPOS, but they wished to utilise our IRIS integration. By adapting IRIS to suit the client’s model they able to populate their online stock feed by uploading their own custom CSV.
